Sustainable Growth Mount Pleasant is facing enormous growth. I believe its growth needs to be carefully planned and managed to keep Mount Pleasant safe and beautiful.
The Comprehensive Plan for 2018-2028 should closely examine proposed development, smartly absorb population growth and bolster infrastructure – while maintaining Mount Pleasant’s special character. Natural Beauty The natural beauty and resources of Mount Pleasant make it a special place. As we grow, we need to preserve our creeks, marshes, waterways and green spaces for all of our community to enjoy.

Quality of Life Mount Pleasant is a wonderful place to live, work and play. We have many beautiful parks and greenspaces. I know that my family and many others benefit from the wonderful offerings at our recreation and senior centers.
We need to plan for additional public amenities to meet the needs of our growing community. Livability Mount Pleasant needs to be an affordable place to live and work, particularly for our public servants and small businesses.
I believe any proposed development needs to consider livability to keep Mount Pleasant a diverse and dynamic community. |
